Keith and Kari, I think about you guys every day and pray for you every day!
Heavenly Father, You are the God of all comfort, the Healer of the brokenhearted, and the One who binds up wounds. You are powerful to restore what has been shattered, gentle with those who are hurting, and faithful even in the darkest valleys. Your love never fails, Your presence is near, and Your strength is made perfect in weakness. We praise You for being our refuge and our peace.
Lord, we confess that we often feel helpless and overwhelmed in the face of trauma. We admit our limited understanding, our tendency to worry instead of trust, and the ways we sometimes try to carry burdens that only You can bear. Forgive us for our doubts. We come to You in humility, knowing we need Your grace.
Thank You for the gift of life and for every breath Keith is still breathing. Thank You for the love that surrounds him through Kari and family and friends, for the medical care and support already given, and for the small signs of Your presence even in pain. We are grateful that You see every tear, hear every cry, and promise never to leave or forsake Your people. Thank You that You are already at work in ways we cannot yet see.
Father, we ask for Keith’s full recovery—body, mind, and spirit. Bring deep healing to the places trauma has wounded. Calm anxiety, quiet flashbacks, restore sleep, and renew strength day by day. Surround him with Your peace that surpasses understanding.
For Kari and family, we pray for wisdom, patience, and unity. Give them the words to speak, the strength to keep going, and the ability to support one another without burning out. Protect their hearts from despair and fill them with hope.
Lord, turn this traumatic event into a testimony of Your redeeming power. Let Keith and his family experience Your comfort. We trust You with the outcome and ask that Your will be done, for Your glory and their good.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
